Where Is The Hidden Profit In Your Business?

Life gets that busy it is difficult for most business owners to get the time away from their business for long enough to do some serious thinking about how your business is running?

The day to day routine gets so hectic it is hard to see where the opportunities are for you to easily grow your profits. It is the old saying of ‘not seeing the forest for the trees.’

One of my favorite times of the month for me is taking time out to read the Newsletter I receive from copywriting legend Pete Godfrey. His newsletter is always packed full of ideas, inspiration and food for thought.

One article in his most recent really hit home – and that is how much money a lot of small business leaves on the table.

He gave a great example of his experience of walking in to a shop specialising in Indian herbs and spices. The owners were providing great products, service and prices.

However aside from the obvious cooking ingredients, there was no other options to spend money in the business. No Indian cook books, no offers to join in a cooking class.

Nor was there any attempt to capture contact details and maybe send out regular emails with recipes, tips and cooking suggestions.

Even if you do not have the skills or experience to pull together an automated email campaign, there are plenty of outsourcing opportunities for you to get someone to do it for you.

The point is the traffic flowing through you business represents a massive opportunity for you to provide more products and services for you customers. They are already buying from you, so this is the best time to offer them other products and services.
