The Cash Back App Blog

The Future of Shopping in Australia and Beyond

  • 21 January 2018

Back in 2011, the Harvard Business Review said that the retail industry was stuck in analogue mode. It was struggling to properly integrate new digital tools like The Cash Back App that help customers to purchase all the cool things they want to buy. This was a problem – but times have changed.

Since then, Amazon has barrelled into the Australian market, UBER and airBNB have taken off, retailers have started looking at metrics other than their profit margins, and millions of customers around the world now purchase products online every day. Apps on your phone have become more important and useful, and almost everyone has at least three on their phone that they use each day.

All of these things are really exciting, and now that the Cash Back App is launching in February 2018, customers are excited that they will be able to save thousands of dollars every year, just by using the App when they purchase groceries, alcohol, petrol, travel and much more!

We’ve spent four years designing an amazing experience for customers who use our App, and following a trial that we conducted in Townsville in 2016, we’re excited that our team have already pulled together hundreds of brands into our shopping platform!

Having already signed up Woolworths, Caltex, Big W, AMART, BCF, BWS, JB Hi-Fi, Rebel Sports, Supercheap Auto and hundreds of other awesome brands, our customers will soon be able to save cold, hard cash back into their wallets every time they make a purchase using our App, in-store or online.

Amazing? Yes! Our software model is the first of its kind, and it’s so easy to use, even our marketing manager’s grandma has worked it out, and she’s 99!

The future of shopping in Australia is going to be an exciting social experience - one where customers can make real, tangible savings that will ultimately change their lives for the better.
