"Across professions, consistency is a direct product of work ethic." - Harah Bhogle
It is amazing how simply doing something, anything, leads to results.
Deliberate action is the answer to momentum. Consistent action is the Secret to your success.
It never ceases to surprise me how the things I keep putting off, always s seem so simple after having done them, that I wonder why I kept avoiding doing the thing in the first place.
This is even more so when dealing with something difficult, confrontational or potentially embarrassing. We tend to deliberate over the process and outcome, worrying about every conceivable outcome and worse case scenario.
Only to find when we finally take action, the process was easier than we expected, not as scary and the relief we feel having got the task out of the way, and finding it was no where near the big issue we through it would be.
Doing the little things consistently yields massive result. There is a need to understand delayed gratification, because big wins take time, and that is not easy concept for people to get their head around in this instant everything – microwave, push button, on demand society.
For more on the subject I highly recommend the book by Jeff Olson called ‘The Slight Edge’. Jeff explains this concept in a simple, easy to digest style.
The less obvious and unfortunately the most common outcomes are those of unintented consequences, through inaction or simple mistakes that are easily avoided. Understanding this will have a massive impact on your results, lifestyle and financial success.
