Why do you require date of birth and gender with banking details?

We ask for a date of birth because we need to know the age of the person (as members under the age of 18 may require adult consent to enter into some service agreements).

We ask for the gender because we would like to be able to deliver targeted services and offers to our members according to their gender – this is also another reason why we ask for date of birth.

In further versions of our app, special offers by our merchants to our members may be made available only to a particular gender or age group – having this information just helps us to better serve our members.

Why do I need to register?

The Cash Back App is no ordinary App. This App can save you thousands of dollars every year on your everyday shopping. It can also earn you additional rewards every week if you share the App with others and they shop with our Merchants.

The income generated when people in your 'Shopping Community', is profit sharing. The money that is shared comes from the discount given by our merchants as a 'thank you' for referring customers.

To be able to do this, we need you to register so we can give you a unique ID.

This way we know who to pay when people you invite register and shop.

Simple really.

Why do I need to provide address and bank details (this is optional).

You can skip this at setup, you are not obligated to provide these details. What this means is that you can test the App with no risk.

If you want to get cash back on your shopping with major retail chains through our Gift Card program, then you will need to provide an address so we can send your gift cards (especially for physical cards).

When you shop with merchants using The Cash Back App you become eligible for Cash Rebates. We can only pay you if we have your bank details. You can provide these when you are ready. We will simply hold on to the money we owe you until you are ready to receive the money.

The same applies to the Cash Reward payments that you receive via your Shopping Community when you share the App.

With our wallet system, you can indeed spend your loyalty, cash back and cash rewards (deposited to your wallet) at TCBA merchants wihthout providing bank details. However, if you wish to withdraw your wallet funds to your bank account you must, of course, provide bank account details to do so.

What are my risks?

It is Free to register and become a Member of The Cash Back App, and it is Free to download the App.

So there is no financial cost to you. You do need an Apple or compatible Android smartphone and internet access.

There is no obligation on you to shop or use the App.

Whether you use it to save money and make extra income is completely voluntary.

What is ‘Community Surcharge’ on my Gift Card order?

In order to be able to sell discounted gift cards onto our members, we must show the cards with the full 5% discount that we purchase them from the supplier.

The purpose of The Cash Back App is to pass on Savings and Cash Rewards to Members via the Shopping Community as a thank you from Merchants for referring consumers to our App. These rewards are created everytime a Cash Back member shops.

With the advertising requirements of the Gift Card providers, we must show the full 5% discount and then apply a charge for the amount to be contributed to the Cash Rewards program. This makes it very clear on how money is applied for your discounted Gift Card purchases.

As such, we apply a 'Community Surcharge' totalling 30% of the discount given per card, with half of this money paid out via the Shopping Community Cash Rewards program, and the other half as commission.

This Community Surcharge (15% of the discount) is the amount that covers the shopping reward that the Members in the 5 levels above you get paid for your purchase (and it is how you will get income from your Shopping Community when people in the 5 levels below you buy gift cards).

This surcharge is calculated / shared in the same way that purchases from TCBA merchants are made (shared equally to each person in 5 the levels directly above the shopper).

So you personally receive a discount for the gift card purchase. And you will benefit from the Cash Rewardswhen people in your shopping community buy Gift Cards - because you will then get Cash Rewards yourself.

If I buy Gift Cards, how do I know they will turn up?

All of our Electronic Gift Cards are purchased by The Cash Back App direct from the Store/Brand. This means you are purchasing gift cards provided by the store you want to shop with.

If you pay for eCards by wallet or credit card, and they are in stock, you get them to your app nearly instantly.

How do I build my own Shopping Community and start earning Cash Rewards?

You simply use the ‘Share’ function in the App to help people save money. If they want to make extra income, then they can also share the App. It is their choice.

There is no obligation on you. You can simply use the App to Save money or make money.

Who is responsible for paying Loyalty Cash?

The Cash Back App (TCBA) provides the loyalty cash direct to the relevant merchant on behalf of the shopper as a cash deposit to the merchant's account.

As part of the agreed discount / commission that the merchant gives TCBA, TCBA shares 20% of that back to the shopper as loyalty credit. This credit can only be used at the store where the credit was earned.

Effectively, TCBA is sharing our commision back to the merchant as loyalty incentive.

Sounds too good to be true, it must be a scam?

Here is the reality: It costs business owners a fortune to advertise and attract new customers. And in this crazy social media-driven online world, it is getting harder and more expensive for business owners to find loyal customers.

Our Members are loyal customers and the businesses listed with us contribute money to our Cash Rewards program to pay our Members as a 'thank you' for helping grow our Shopping Community and bring more loyal customers in to The Cash Back App community.

The Cash Rewards are paid to you in addition to the Cash Rebates and Loyalty Cash paid on your own shopping.

Paying Cash Rebates and Cash Rewards is much better for a business owner than paying a fortune for advertising companies to promote them.

This is why The Cash Back App works and is a Win for you and a Win for business owners.

It is simply a smarter way for business owners and consumers (you) to work together.

Is the cash back and loyalty taxable?

No. This is the discount that the participating merchant has agreed to offer you as a customer on purchases made at their business.

How to request password and or username

Step 1 - Go to 'More' tab and find 'Login / Register' button

Go to the 'More' tab and choose 'Login/Register' to get to the Login / register screen

Note - if you do not see this button, you may already be logged in - if so, find the 'LOGOUT' button in 'My Account' in the 'More' tab. Logout then you will see the 'Login/Register' button.

Step 2 - Request New Password

Tap 'password' just above the Login button.

Step 3 - Enter username or email

Enter your username or password into the popup window.

Step 4 - Check your email for an email from us

Go to your email to find an email from us (The Cash Back App Member Support - [email protected]) named 'Password reminder email - The Cash Back App'.

Check your junkmail if you don't see the email in your inbox. If you do find it in the junkmail, please take this time to add emails from @thecashbackapp.com to your 'allowed' list so you don't miss emails in the future.

This email will have your new password along with a reminder of your username.

Step 5 - Change the password to your own

If you want to change the password to one you can remember better, simply go to 'My Account' in the 'More' tab and choose 'Username & Password'.

Enter a password you prefer and then tap 'Save'.

Step 7 - Input original password to confirm

After tapping 'Save', a pop up will show asking for the original password.

Enter the password we sent you in the email to confirm, and tap 'Confirm'.

Step 8 - All Done!

You will see a success message next. This means you are done!
